What testing information do I need to know for my upcoming cruise?
- Vaccinated guests (with proof of vaccination) - No testing is required on cruises 15 nights or less.
- Cruises 16 nights or longer or when required by a destination, guests age 5 years and older have to present a PCR or antigen test taken within 3 days before sailing (unsupervised self-tests are not accepted).
Unvaccinated Guests
Can I sail without a COVID-19 vaccine?
- Unvaccinated guests are welcome to sail and do not need to apply for a Carnival vaccine exemption, except for voyages of 16 nights and longer.
- Unvaccinated guests do not need to apply for a Carnival vaccine exemption unless voyages 16 nights and longer.
- At this time, Carnival is not accepting requests for vaccine exemptions for 2023.

- Cruises 15 nights or less: No testing is required on cruises 15 nights or less.
- Cruises of 16 nights or more: All guests age 5 years and older have to present a PCR or antigen test taken within 3 days before sailing.

What kind of pre-cruise COVID-19 tests are acceptable?
- In addition to lab administered tests, self-testing is accepted for cruises 15 nights and shorter.
- Bermuda does not accept unsupervised pre-cruise tests. Self-testing must be supervised by a medical professional. Guests must be tested with a COVID-19 viral test that is either an antigen test or a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT). After October 25, 2022 guests traveling to Bermuda will no longer be required to test prior to arrival.
- Regardless of the type of test taken, unvaccinated you will be required to present their negative test results via VeriFLY, or as part of the embarkation process.
- If the test taken is supervised by a medical professional, you can show the negative result in the form of a printout, an email, or an app screen from the test provider.
- On voyages where destinations accept self-testing, you can provide a picture of their negative home test or present the actual negative test itself at embarkation.
Are masks required onboard?
- Masks are recommended on board but not required.
- Masks may be required during the entire embarkation and debarkation process (at the home port and port of call), on any transportation, including water shuttles, and when indoors on any Carnival tour.
Can I take a Shore Excursion if I am Unvaccinated?
- Unvaccinated guests are free to disembark and enjoy their time ashore. However, certain destinations have imposed certain restrictions and we cannot guarantee that more will not be added.
- Tortola – age 12 and older will have to remain on board.
- Cartagena (Colombia) and Grand Turk – age 18 and older will have to remain on board.
Bermuda Travel Authorizations
Bermuda - requires unvaccinated guests to present proof of travel insurance at check-in, for the duration of the voyage, which includes coverage for medical emergencies and has no COVID exclusions.
- This requirement is waived if a child is 11 years and under traveling with vaccinated parents.
- All guests must registure and apply for a Travel Authorization here.
- A US$40, per person, fee applies for guests age 2 years and older.
- To complete the process, guests must submit proof of citizenship, picture ID and proof of vaccination.
